Model NATO-
Februrary 22d-25th 2024
A dozen fellow students and I were privileged to participate in the 2024 model NATO conference hosted at Carleton University in Ottawa. Each of us was assigned to different councils, representing various countries over the weekend. I was representing Norway in the NATO-Ukraine council. Throughout the conference, we engaged in discussions on critical topics such as military aid to Ukraine, the potential for nuclear deterrence, and future diplomatic solutions. Despite being among the youngest delegates present, I found the experience very enlightening, and I think we truly contributed to our delegations. It was a wonderful experience, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity.

New York Trip- November 4th-5th 2023
I went on a two-day trip to New York City during the fall of 2023. I spent most of my time with friends, engaging in leisure activities and exploring the sights. We visited Times Square, saw the Empire State Building, explored the Rockefeller Center, and walked on the Brooklyn Bridge. On the last day, our economics teacher took us to the UNESCO building. As he is a former employee there, we had the privilege of getting a private guided tour. I learned about the different countries' participation within the UN and recent events regarding world conflicts. I even had the opportunity to enter the conference rooms and ceremonial rooms, which was a highly educational experience.
Jeux des sciences humaines- March 25th-26th 2023
Five of my Honors classmates and I had the opportunity to participate in the "Jeux des sciences humaines" held at Montmorency Cégep. This exciting weekend-long event brought together students from 12 other Cégeps to engage in friendly competition. Throughout the weekend, we faced a series of intellectual challenges, encompassing subjects such as history, geography, politics, economics, and more. My team and I worked very hard during the entire 48h to earn points while proudly representing CISA. Our efforts paid off as we secured 3rd place in the opening challenge and 2nd place in the Social Sciences Rally. Although we weren’t the overall winners of the competition, the friendships we made along the way and the bond we developed within our team made this an unforgettable experience.

McGill Tour-February 22d 2023
The Honors students and I had the opportunity to go on a tour of Mcgill on February 22d. University students showed us around campus and brought us to the arts, management, and law building. They answered all of our questions and concerns about the programs we are interested in. I learned a lot about the admission process that I will have to do next year, which was very useful. It also helped me get a better idea of the path I want to take in university. Overall a great experience, learned many things and it was a fun bonding experience with fellow Honors students.
Italy-Germany Trip-
January 3d-17th 2023
This year I got the opportunity to go on a two-week school trip to Italy and Germany where I had three classes credited. During this time, I was completely submerged in European culture and history. I visited the Doges palace, the Medici house, the East Side Gallery, and the Reichstag, amongst many other things. I was able to not only learn different things about arts and politics for example but also see historical gems in person. It was both an educational and enjoyable experience. I will forever cherish the memories I made during this adventure.
