Volunteering

Moisson Montreal- July 25th and August 1st 2023

I volunteered for 6 hours on July 25th, 2023, and another 6 hours on August 1st, 2023, totaling 12 hours at Moisson Montreal. Their mission is to collect and distribute food donations and essential products to community organizations on Montreal Island. They have a team of 50+ volunteers who assist in preparing and organizing donations daily. The organization really values its volunteers and provides free breakfast and lunches every day, which is what I helped with! I worked with the chef, preparing pastries, fruits, juices, and more in the mornings, and prepping vegetables, fish, meat, and other items for lunch. I also helped with food preparation for upcoming days, including assembling burritos and making salads. It was a wonderful experience working with such a kind and inspiring team, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for volunteering opportunities.

Livart-March 3rd, 2023

During March break I did 4h30 of volunteering at Livart, a non-profit organization whose mission is to democratize access to art and culture. They were doing a march break camp, for kids aged 4 to 9, who created different art pieces throughout the week. I came to help out on the last day when they presented what they had made to their parents. I helped the children put up their work, sold frames for the parents to frame their child's art, and assisted the team of counselors in helping the younger kids. As a person who loves art and working with children, it was lovely to work in this environment. Everybody was passionate, energetic, and creative, which made the experience very enjoyable.

CISA-February 8th, 2023

I completed 3 hours of volunteer work right here in the Collégial with fellow Honours students. My duty was to assist during open house night. I answered everybody's questions about the Administration program, the Italie-Germany trip, and the social science Honours program. I presented the different aspects of the program and the opportunities this school has to offer. I hope I inspired some people to join social sciences and enter the Collégial International Sainte-Anne family.
